Parthenope

HD
In 1950, a luxurious carriage-bed arrived directly from Versailles to the residence of a wealthy Neapolitan family, in anticipation of the impending birth of a baby near the Tyrrhenian Sea. A baby girl was born and given the name Partenope, after the ancient Greek nymph that Naples was once named after. This exceptional girl embraced life to the fullest: she changed partners and interests, attempted to pursue an acting career, studied anthropology, and danced until the early hours of the morning. The only unfortunate event that tarnished the glamorous life of this favored individual was the suicide of her brother Raphael, who paled in comparison to the radiant Partenope.
